#27 Salline Handa on the benefits of mentoring
Shownotes
“There are people in this world that want to give their time and knowledge for the betterment of others. There are people who want to light another candle and know it does not make theirs dimmer”, says Salline Handa of MentorMe, Kenya about the motivation of most mentors.
MentorMe Kenya takes a fresh perspective at development by matching Kenyan and German mentors and mentees. The goal is for people to learn from each other, for “someone to hold your hand” to facilitate the transition from university into the labour market, make businesses more successful and help foreign companies to better understand the business environment and the people of Kenya.
Salline also talks about about “grit”,staying on course, celebrating small wins and her daily routines including a prayer.
